Cynthia R. “Cindy” McAfee, 67, of Stone Creek passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022 in the Community Hospice Truman House following a brief battle with cancer.
Born on July 30, 1955 in Dover she was a daughter of Norma “Jean” Brinkman McAfee of Stone Creek and the late George “Art” McAfee. In addition to her father, Cindy was also preceded in death by her brother, Arthur E. “Butch” McAfee.
Cindy was employed as a bartender and waitress at many different restaurants in the area; she also worked in the office at several different businesses as well. In her spare time, Cindy enjoyed crafts, reading and loved taking care of her grandchildren; they were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her son, Derrick Beitzel of Sherrodsville; grandchildren, Camron, Brianna and Kadyn Straight-Beitzel; siblings, Deb (Mike Leyda) Canfield of Bolivar, Randy (Vonda) McAfee of Barnhill, Dawn Anderson of New Philadelphia, Cheryl (Carl) Eicher of Florida, Terry (Stacey) McAfee of Newcomerstown, Gail (Sam) Wigfield of Fresno, Anna (Jack) Locker of Somerdale; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. David Wing officiating. Interment will be at the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. The family will be greeting friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
