Cherie G. Conidi, 91, of Dover passed away in the Park Village Health Care Assisted Living at Dover on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
Born September 7, 1933 in Dover she was a daughter of the late William and Dorothy Hager Bevan. Cherie was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Whiz” Conidi on December 19, 2017; daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Conidi; son and daughter in law, Frank (Phyllis) Conidi; great granddaughter, Ashton Conidi; brothers, Gerald and Robert Bevan.
Cherie was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was deeply devoted to her faith and actively participated in the Christian Mothers Club, the Ladies Catholic Benevolent Association (LCBA), and the Central Catholic Mothers. Her commitment to these organizations reflected her generous spirit and dedication to serving others. Cherie found joy in the art of quilting and sewing, and was a member of numerous quilting clubs, where her creativity and craftsmanship flourished. In her quiet moments, she also delighted in solving puzzles, a pastime that showcased her patience and sharp mind.
Cherie is survived by her sons, Joseph (Jeanie) Conidi of Dover, Christopher (Sue) Conidi of Canton, Thomas (Beth) Conidi of Coshocton; siblings, Paul (Sandy) Bevan, Bill Bevan both of New Philadelphia, Pat Powell of Dover, Ron “Butch” (Ginny) Bevan of Strasburg, Jill Clark of Canton; grandchildren, Patrick Conidi, Mike and Mark (Heather) Burnworth, Matthew, Joe (Jennifer), Hillary (Sean) Steward and Kelly Conidi, Brianne (Shane) Ward, Andrew (Ashley), Kaitlin (Cody) Crilow and Nathan (Laiken) Conidi; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st starting at 11:00 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery at Dover. The family will be greeting friends in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with Christian Wake services starting at 6:45 pm.
