Carol Louise Vanfossen

Carol Louise VanFossen, 63, of Dover, died Monday, March 18, 2003.

She had worked as a home health care aide for many years.

Born November 24, 1939 at Strasburg, she was daughter of the late Delbert and Mary Mohardt VanFossen.

Carol was a graduate of Strasburg High School. A member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover, she was also formerly a member of the American Association of Retired Persons at New Philadelphia and Strasburg.

She is survived by: two sisters; Vivian (Robert) Kurtzman of Wilmot and Lillian (Lyle) Tope of New Philadelphia, a brother; Warren (Mary) VanFossen of Strasburg and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by: four brothers; Eugene, Willis, Deb and Robert VanFossen, and a sister; Kathryn “Kate” Kaderly.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, March 24, at 10:30a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. A reception will follow services in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Christian Wake services will be held Sunday at 4:30.
