Carol J. Greenham

Carol J. Greenham, 93, of Strasburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home with her loving husband by her side on October 9, 2026. Born on January 22, 1933, in Kane, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late B. Frank and Ruth (Reigel) Cory.

Carol worked for MetLife in Canton, Ohio, and later served as a receptionist for Community Hospice. Throughout her career, she dedicated herself to her work and the responsibilities entrusted to her. On March 1, 1952, Carol married James “Jim” Greenham, with whom she shared 74 years of loving marriage until her passing. She was a member and attended Trinity Episcopal Church in New Philadelphia. Additionally, she was a member of the New Philadelphia Women of the Elks club.

In addition to her devoted and loving husband Jim, Carol is survived by their three children, Deborah Greenham of Strasburg, David (Deborah) Greenham of New Albany, and Cynthia (David) Langenhop of Enon, Ohio; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Lenegar, as well as numerous extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sisters, Janice Edwards and Ruth Ann Lint.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig funeral home and crematory at Dover. A memorial service for Carol officiated by Pastor Bill Rindenknecht will be held on November 7, 2026 at 11 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church in New Philadelphia. Carol’s family will receive callers from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service.
