Bruce A. Pearson

Bruce A. Pearson, 64, of Somerdale, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at University Hospital in Cleveland.

Born on January 20, 1962, in Canton, he was the son of the late Carl and Mary Hawkins Pearson. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Reardon.

A 1980 graduate of Dover High School, Bruce dedicated 35 years of his career to Zedmark in Dover and later worked at Greer Steel until illness led to his retirement.

He was a longtime member of the Church of New Hope in Dover, where he sang in the choir. Bruce was deeply musically inclined and cherished performing with the Tuscarawas County Philharmonic. He also had a passion for acting and was actively involved with the Little Theatre. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Browns and all Cleveland sports teams. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandson, Sterling.

Bruce is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Samantha Reardon Pearson, whom he married on July 13, 1996; his daughter, Alyssa Pearson (companion, Michael Nash) of Pittsburgh; his grandson, Sterling Pearson; his brother, Terry (Kim) Pearson; his sister, Connie (Eric) Griffin, both of Malvern; his mother-in-law, Kay Reardon; his brother-in-law, Bobby Reardon; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover. A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at a later date.
