Bruce E. Brokaw, 73, of New Philadelphia passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 3, 2025.
He was born on July 13, 1952 in Dover and was a son of the late Thomas and Audrey Brokaw. Bruce was also preceded in death by his wife, Robin M. Brokaw on October 14, 2024; son, Eric Thomas Brokaw and grandson, Justin Thomas Moss.
He retired from Alsco after many years of service. Bruce had also worked at the Big Scotty gas station and Yoder Lumber. He was a faithful member of the Goshen Community Church of the Nazarene, and will be remembered for running the hot dog stand during dart ball. Bruce loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and Robin enjoyed going to Bob Evans, and Bruce always thought there’s no ailment that a good meal at Bob Evans can’t fix.
He is survived by his daughter, Heidi (William) Coffman of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Rachel Tylke (fiance, Jimmy Riley), Kevin Thomas Taylor, Ali Brooks, Aria Hall, Billy Coffman III and Allison; great-grandson, Kai; and his sister, Linda Myers of Texas.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. The family will be greeting friends at the Goshen Community Church of the Nazarene, 2501 David Rd. S.E., New Philadelphia, on Saturday, August 9th, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 p.m. A celebration of Bruce’s life will follow at 2:00; Pastor Lee Randolph will officiate. Immediately afterward, the church will host a lunch.
