Beverly Jane Dessecker

Beverly Dessecker, 91, of Dover passed away at Hennis Care Center in Dover on Friday, January 14, 2022.

Born on August 31, 1930, in Dover she was the daughter of the late Luther and Grace (Abersole) Everhart. On July 3, 1949, Beverly married W. Dale “Shorty” Dessecker, who preceded her in death on January 8, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her twin daughters, Jennifer and Josephine Dessecker; her granddaughter, Jillian Louise Campbell; her daughter-in-law, Linda Dessecker; and her son-in-law, David Rosenberry.

Beverly was a member of the Dover Baptist Temple. She worked at General Electric and owned the former Weaving Haus in Zoar and Plane Pallett in Dover. She was a very talented artist and was well known for her pressed flowers and slate paintings. She also instructed many “Chalk Talks” for different groups throughout the years.

She will be sadly missed by her four daughters; Debra Dale (Frank) Campbell of Dover, Karla Kay Harper of Texas, Laura Lee (David) Knapp of Berlin, Alisa Ann (Aric) Warner of Georgia; her son, Kelly Paul Dessecker of Dover; her 14 grandchildren, Jamey (Shanna) Campbell, Jeremy (Talia) Campbell, Heather (Paul) Kline, Seth Harper, Adam (Regan) Harper, Jessica (Ryan) Young, Jaclyn (Jerrod) Cox, Jodie (Casey) Hay, Justin Warner, Tucker (Brazil) Warner, Christy Jane Warner, Courtney (Travis) Dreher, Lauren Goehring, and Kooper (Kellie) Dessecker; along with 20 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Louise Jones; sisters-in-law, Rhea Dessecker and June Keller; along with several nieces and nephews.
