Annie Pearl Grant Roberts, age 69, of Uhrichsville, entered into the joy of the Lord on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
Born October 1, 1952, in Opelika, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Fannie Lue Menefield Grant. As a young lady, Annie moved with her family to Tuscarawas County, where she graduated from Claymont High School. She was a homemaker, and was at one time employed by the Marriott Grand Ocean Resort in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Annie was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Dennison, where she sang in the choir. She was an excellent cook, especially of soul food.
She will be dearly missed by her brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Roxanne White Grant; her nieces and nephews, Eddie (Rachel) Grant, Chrissy (Scott) Monticelli, Tylor (Raven Wilcox) Grant, Eric (Melissa Briggs) Grant, Adrian Roberts, Cie (Dawn) Grant and Greg (Kristy) Grant; her great-nieces and great-nephews; her many cousins; and her best friends, Betty Mills and Bobby Smoke.
Besides her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her siblings, John Grant Jr., Edward Grant, Izora Grant and an infant sister.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Wednesday, July 13, 5 - 7 p.m., and again on Thursday, July 14, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. A home-going service will be held Thursday at 12 in the funeral home with Rev. Henry McNeil officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. The repast will follow in Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
