Anna G. “Gale” Edmonds Warinner, 87, of North Olmsted, and formerly of Strasburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, dedication to education, and deep devotion to her family.

She was born on November 26, 1938, in Canada, Kentucky, to the late Harold and Hazel Edmonds.

Gale attended Bevins Elementary School and graduated from Belfry High School. She went on to earn her degree in Elementary Education and Library Science from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. While attending Morehead State, she met the love of her life, Edgar Paul Warinner. The two were married on December 12, 1958, and shared 59 wonderful years of marriage prior to Paul's passing on January 29, 2018.

A passionate and committed educator, Gale began her teaching career at Winchester Local Schools in Winchester, Ohio. Throughout her career, she also inspired students at Little Miami Local Schools in Morrow, Ohio, and Triway Local Schools in Wooster, Ohio. She retired in 1990 after spending 18 years at Garaway Local Schools in Sugarcreek, Ohio, completing a remarkable 31½ years in the teaching profession.

Outside the classroom, Gale was actively devoted to her children’s school and sports activities. In their younger years, she and Paul were involved members of the Strasburg United Methodist Church, where both held various leadership roles and service positions. Reflecting on her rich and blessed life, Gale often noted, "Life has been good to us and we thank the Lord for that."

Gale is survived by her four loving children, Paula (Donavan) Hochstetler of Idaho, Ed (Mary Beth) Warinner of Kansas, John (Patina) Warinner of New Albany, Mike (Yvette) Warinner of Westlake; five grandchildren, Madisyn (Haedyn) Cole, Merideth (Rigby) McClure, Edward, Sydney and Jake Warinner; great grandchildren, Easton, Crew, Blakely Cole and Margo McClure.

Private graveside services will be held in the Grandview Union Cemetery. The family will be greeting friends on Tuesday, September 8th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg. There will also be another gathering for family and friends at Hans’ Place, 6011 Old Rt. 39 NW, Dover, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Strasburg United Methodist Church at 206 2nd St. NW, Strasburg, Ohio 44680.
