Anabelle Snyder

Anabelle Abel Snyder, age 88, of Dover, and formerly of Bowerston, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 30, 2018.

Born January 10, 1930, in Cadiz, she was a daughter of the late Glen P. and Anna Andears McAfee. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed gardening, drawing, dancing, visiting friends – especially those who could not get out, and birthday parties for her large family.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia (John) Shroyer of Fresno; her daughter-in-law, Betty Abel; her step-children, including Donny Snyder; her grandchildren, Tammy (Ed) Crall, Michelle (Rob) Moore and Daniel Abel; her great-grandchildren, Meaghan (Aaron) Kimble, Vincent (Johnetta) and Colt (Emily) Crall, Neill Moore (serving with the U.S. Air Force), Elizabeth and Emily Moore, and Kirsten Abel; her very special great-great-granddaughters, Maison and Saylor Kimble; her brother, Donny (Diane) McAfee; her sister-in-law, Henrietta McAfee; her nieces and nephews; and her good friends, Bob and Darlene Smith and Janet Stouts.

Besides her parents, Anabelle was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel D. Abel; her second husband, Charles A. Snyder; her son, Danny E. Abel; her grandson, Denny Abel; her sisters, Pearl Sabo, Helen Hojnacki and Melba Beard; and her brothers, Glen, Tom and Robert McAfee.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Tuesday, September 4, 6 – 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 5, at 10:30 a.m., in the funeral home.
