William F. Schwarm, Jr.

April 10, 1918 — March 30, 2006

William F. “Bill” Schwarm Jr., 87, of Country Club Retirement Center, and a long-time resident of State Route 800 N.E., Dover, died Thursday, Mar. 30, 2006.

Born Apr. 10, 1918, in Dover, Bill was a son of the late William F. and Freida Luthy Schwarm. He attended Dover schools and served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. Bill was a truck driver, and retired from Twin City
Concrete in 1979, following twenty-three years of service.

He was a member of St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ, Dover, where he belonged to the Men�(TM)s Fellowship, Adult Bible Class and Golden Oldies. Bill was also a
member of the American Legion, and a social member of the Dover post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Additionally, he belonged to Teamsters�(TM) Local No. 92.

Bill was an avid sportsman, and belonged to the National Rifle Association and the National Turkey Federation.

Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret L. Fiddler Schwarm, whom he married Jan. 30, 1942, in Greenup, KY; a daughter, Shirley L. (Brent) Cronebach of Dover; two sons, Mark F. (Cindy) Schwarm of Mineral City, and Carl W. Schwarm
of Windber, PA; six grandchildren, Brent (Paula) Cronebach, Brian (Melanie) Cronebach, Sarah (Russ) Pletcher, Matthew (Sharon) Schwarm, Renee (Scott) Mason, and Marcus Schwarm; seven great-grandchildren, Cody and Alyson
Cronebach, Bryn and Seth Cronebach, Rhett and Jack Pletcher, Madison Mason, and
another great-grandchild expected in August; two sisters, Wilma Potschner of Dover, and Esther Locker of Magnolia; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Bill�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Tuesday, Apr. 4, at 1:30 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. Pastor Jim Borton of the First Christian Church in New Philadelphia will officiate. Bill�(TM)s cremated
remains will be interred in Dover Burial Park immediately after the service. Following the committal, there will be a luncheon in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
