William F. Niedenthal

William F. 'Bill' Niedenthal, 82 of Strasburg, died Sunday, October 31, 1999 at Union Hospital following a sudden illness.

He was a retired Truck Driver.  Following his retirement he worked part time for Buckeye Security in Canton.

Born April 11, 1917 in Strasburg he was a son of the late Fredrick and Elizabeth Haas Niedenthal.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bolivar.  He enjoyed bowling and was a league member at Imperial Bowling Lanes in Canton.

Bill is survived by his wife Jane Wilcox Niedenthal with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage on October 11, 1999.

He is also survived by three daughters:  Margaret and Harold Smith of New Philadelphia.
                                                                Elizabeth Derflinger of Waco, Ohio.
                                                              Anna Louise and Curtis Hunt of Bowie, Maryland.

One sister:  Mary Condo of Brewster.

10 grand, 22 great grand and 1 great great grand.

He was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 1999 at 1:00 pm at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Strasburg with Pastor Dan Schaefer officiating.  Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg.  Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Monday (tonight) from 6-8 pm..  Those unable to attend may sign the on-line register book for Bill by visiting the 'on-line obituaries' link on our website at www.tolandherzig.com.
