Wardner ''Pete'' Edgar

WARDNER “PETE” EDGAR of Beach City, Ohio, formerly of Moorefield Ohio passed away peacefully on February 17, 2001.

He was born to Samuel and Lura Edgar on October 30, 1914 in Monroe County, Ohio.

Pete was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Sinfield Edgar formally of Hopedale,Ohio.

He leaves his son Bruce Edgar and family of Valdosta, Georgia. Pete is also survived by his nieces, Valura Pierce and Erma Baker of Beach City, Ila Beauchemin of California and Carol Schultz of Michigan. He also leaves behind two nephews, Glenn McCaslin of Dundee and Gary Edgar of Pheonix, Arizona.

Pete retired from Y&O Coal Co. of East Cadiz and was a longtime member of the Eagles Lodge of Cadiz Ohio.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23, at 1:00pm in the Moorefield Community Church. Interment will be in Moorefield Cemetery and a reception will be held after services in the Moorefield schoolhouse. Friends may call on Thursday in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Strasburg from 6-8pm.
