Wanda A. "Dew" Meryo

Wanda A. "Dew" Meryo, age 52, of Dover, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 8, 1963, at Dover, she was a daughter of Shirley (Holcomb) Sears Ball of Somerdale and the late Floyd Sears. Wanda graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School in 1981, and was employed by the Fraternal Order of Eagles at Dover.

Wanda loved the outdoors - some of her favorite pastimes were fishing, camping, mushroom hunting, and watching the deer, birds and other wildlife around her home. She was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, and especially enjoyed being a grandmother to three little girls.

Survivors include her husband, James "Jimmy" Meryo II, whom she married on January 10, 1987; her two sons, Nick (Mindy) Meryo of Dennison, and Jesse Meryo of Dover; her granddaughters, Addi, Bailee and Marley Meryo; her brother, Randy (Lisa) Sears of Mineral City; her three sisters, Patty (Rick Wolfe) Foster of Mineral City, Beverly Young and Tammy (Richard) Seward, both of Bolivar; and her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Wanda was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Sears, and by her grandparents.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 31, at 10:30 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover, with Pastor Richard Harvey of the Somerdale Maranatha Bible Church officiating. Burial will be in Dover's Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Following the committal, there will be a luncheon in the New Philadelphia Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
