Wade Allen Walter

Wade Allen Walter, 56, of Houston, Texas and formerly of Dover died Thursday, July 2, 2009 in his home following a heart ailment.

Wade was born May 4, 1953 in Columbus and is the son of Ernest Leroy Walter of Ravenna, Ohio and the late Helen Maurer Walter and the late Jennings Arthur Raeder and Josephine Walter Raeder of Dover. He was also preceded in death his his stepmother, Margaret Gregory Walter.

Wade was a25 year employee of the County of Harris at Houston where he worked for in the Appraiser�(TM)s office.

He was a 1972 graduate of Dover High School and a graduate of Defiance College.

In addition to his father, he is survived by three sisters, Alma Jo (husband, Henry) Peyton of Rootstown, Maureen (husband, Randy) Raeder Wenger and Jessica (husband, Dick) Raeder Fisher both of New Philadelphia; three stepbrothers, Tom (wife, Fran) Gregory of Ravenna, Dick (wife, Debi) Gregory of Aurora and Ralph David Gregory of Mantua and his stepmother, Beverly Mason Raeder Arnold of New Philadelphia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a halfbrother, John Ernest Walter.

A celebration of Wade�(TM)s life will be held Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 11am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with Chris Mulpas officiating with the burial to follow in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. A reception will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10-11am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
