Vicky Frances Nichols

Vicky Frances Nichols, 48, of Dover, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, in Union Hospital. Vicky had fought a hard battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born Sept. 7, 1961 in Fitchburg, MA, she was a daughter of Paul and Assunta Mezzonotti Leger of Worcester, MA. Vicky graduated from Fitchburg High School and went on to attend Montachusett Regional Technical School. She married Paul Nichols, Jr. on Mar. 27, 1993 in Rindge, NH, and was a loving wife and mother. She was employed in the food service industry, working in supermarkets and restaurants.

Vicky was fond of M & M's and collecting M & M's memorabilia. She also loved being outdoors and going camping with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Paul; two daughters, Becky and Stephanie Nichols; a son, Michael Nichols; two sisters, Sheryl Heon and Dawn Grossi, both of Fitchburg; two brothers, Bruce Leger of Worcester, and Kevin Leger of St. Petersburg, FL; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 11, at 3:30 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor Jerome Bell of Harvest Church of the Nazarene in Sugarcreek officiating.
