Therma I. Wheatley

Therma I. Wheatley, 96, of New Philadelphia died Monday, July 26, 2010 in the Hennis Care Centre at Bolivar.

Therma was a homemaker who had also been employed at the former Woolworth Store in New Philadelphia.

Born July 25, 1914 in Carbon Hill, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Pearl and Mable Spooner Perkins. Her husband, Ernest Wheatley who died on February 21, 1984 and her sisters, Leona Tilkey and Wilma Ashbaugh, also preceded Therma in death.

She is survived by her sons, Ron Wheatley of Cleveland and Jack Wheatley of Bolivar; brother, Delbert (Shirley) Perkins of Toledo; grandchildren, Brian Harding, Jennifer Deetz, Janine Bottger and Andrea Wheatley and great grandchildren, Logan and Mackenna Harding, Riley, Gavin and Spencer Deetz and Haley Bottger.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Interment of the ashes will be in the Sun Set Memorial Park at North Olmstead, Ohio.
