Thelma M. Renner

Thelma Marie Casebeer Renner, 85, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, March 2, 2003 in the Morning View Care Center in New Philadelphia.

Born May 28, 1917 at Dover, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Mary Johns Casebeer.

Thelma was a longtime member of the Jerusalem Church at New Philadelphia. She had been a member of the Tuscarawas County Senior Citizens, had formerly been active with the Brandywine Grange, and enjoyed playing Bingo and taking part in group trips. She was also a proud participant in the area�(TM)s “Adopt a Grandparent” program.

She married her husband, the late Glen F. Renner, on March 23, 1946 and the two spent most of their lives living on the family dairy farm in Stone Creek Valley.

Survivors include: two sons; Dalton (Cindy) Renner and G. Lee Renner both of New Philadelphia, five grandchildren; Sharon (Chris) Sefert of Dover, Jackie (Brian) Loibl, Darlene Renner, Carol Renner and Darin Renner all of New Philadelphia, and three great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Casebeer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6, at 10:30am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Dr. Terry L. Downin officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will be held in the Jerusalem Church, 1417 Stonecreek Rd. SW, New Philadelphia, following services.

Friends may call in the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-9pm.
