Terry L. Willis

Terry L. Willis, 75, of Dover, died Thursday, October 19, 2017 in the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born November 15, 1941 in New Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Charles and Doris Rogers Willis. Terry was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Willis and sister, Judy Bauman.

Terry retired from the Timken Co. in Canton after 30 years of service, following his retirement; he worked for his nephew at Willandale Golf Course in Sugarcreek. He was a member of Dover Bible Church, NRA, and in his spare time, he enjoyed golfing with his sons, hunting, fishing and traveling.

Terry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan Kennedy Willis, whom he married on December 3, 1983; children, Steve (Bonnie), Ted, Tracey (Ken) all of Strasburg; brothers, Gene (Vivian) Willis of Strasburg, Sam (Donna) Willis of Dover; sister, Marlene (Tom) Garber of North Canton; grandchildren, Bryan, Jennifer, Ashley, Rachel, Cecilia and Jarrett; great grandchild, Avery; sister in law, Vivian Willis and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21 at 11:00 am in the Dover Bible Church with Pastor Mark Britton officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call at the church on hour prior to the service on Saturday. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
