Steven Lynn Johnson

Steven Lynn Johnson, 44, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, August 16, 2007.

He was born April 14, 1963 at Dover. He had owned and operated Service Advertising, a marketing and sales company.

A graduate of Lake High School, Steven was a big fan of professional sports and closely followed his favorite teams. He enjoyed traveling, and especially looked forward to spending time with his children.

Among the many loving family members who survive him are: his parents, Pamela Boyd Beitzel of New Philadelphia and Bill Johnson of Akron; wife, Michelle and their two children, Adam Michael & Amanda Lynn; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; a brother Terry Joe (Michelle) Johnson of Hartville; half-sisters, Stefanie Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, Brandi Beitzel of Dover, and Jennifer (Tom) Smyth of Stow; and a half-brother, Shanon Beitzel of Dover.

A funeral service that celebrates Steven's life will be held Thursday, August 23, at 2:00 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia. Pastor Ed Scaglione will officiate. Friends may call in the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
