Steven A. Meryo

Steven A. Meryo, 63, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and a former Dover resident died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 following an extended illness.

Born May 31, 1952 in Dover, he was the son of the late Julius Sr. and Doris Meryo. In addition, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita.

Steve was a 1970 graduate of Dover High School. He retired from the U.S. Army.

Survivors include two daughters, Stefany Meryo of Columbus and Eva-Isabel Moller of Bamberg, Germany; a brother, Julius (Patty) Meryo and sister, Shirley (Ron) Corder both of Dover along with numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 beginning at 10:30am in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover is handling local arrangements.
