Stephen ''Toby'' Toth

Stephen ''Toby'' Toth, 83, of Dover, died Christmas Day, December 25, 2001 following a brief illness.

He retired in 1980 from Empire Detroit where he had worked for 44 years.

Born August 5, 1918 at Dover, he was son of the late Stephen Anna Pertle Toth.

Toby was a World War II veteran who served in the Army. He was a life member of Dover Moose Lodge #707 and was also a member of the Dover VFW. He had also been a member of St. Joseph Church at Dover.

He is survived by his wife Jean Foley Toth whom he wed on April 26, 1974.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his first wife Regina, son Steve, and step-daughter Patricia Porcher.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, at 1:00pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Pastor Rod Phillips officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Dover where the Dover VFW will conduct graveside rites. A reception will then be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8pm.
