Sarah J. Bee (Reichman), 75, joined our Lord on August 16, 2002. She was born on January 5, 1927 in Uhrichsville, OH, the daughter of Howard and Lillie Reichman. She graduated from Dover High School in 1945. She also graduated from the Licensed Practical Nurse program at Timken Mercy Hospital in Canton in 1974. She was most proud of earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Malone College in 1990.

Sarah worked at a number of hospitals and nursing homes, including House of Loretto in Canton, Hennis Care Centre in Dover, and Massillon Community Hospital. She was a resident of Hennis Care Centre the last two years of her life, where she truly appreciated the love, care and support she received.

Sarah specialized in geriatric care, using her nursing and music skills to care for patients. She sang with the Sweet Adeline�(TM)s in Tuscarawas County and played clarinet with the Tuscarawas County Philharmonic Orchestra. Her love of music has been passed on to all of her children and grandchildren. Sarah was a very nurturing mother and always had a kind word for anyone she met.

Sarah served as a Sunday School teacher and choir director. During her lifetime she was an active member of the Lutheran Church including Grace Lutheran Church in Dover and Zion Lutheran Church in Canton and at Stone Creek.

Sarah is survived by four loving children and their spouses: Dave and Laurie Carr of Honolulu; Rose Marie and Fred Gray, Cathy and Eric Langreder, and Dan and Beth Carr, all of Canton,. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Paul Ladrach of Ragersville; and her dear friend and cousin Jane Lanz. Her surviving grandchildren include Taryn Clatanoff, Kristin Carr, Andrea Carr, Laurel Gray, Doug Gray, Tim Langreder, Victoria Carr and Alison Carr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lillie Reichman; brother, Howard “Dick” Reichman; granddaughter, Susan Jane Langreder; and husband, Edward E. Bee.

Services celebrating Sarah�(TM)s life will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Stone Creek with Dr. William C. Haggis officiating. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Ridgecrest Memory Garden in Dover. A reception will follow at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center at 831 Boulevard in Dover. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Sarah may do so by visiting the funeral homes website. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in Sarah�(TM)s name at Malone College. They should be designated for the Nursing Program, attention College Advancement Office at 515 25th St. NW Canton, Ohio 44709.
