Sandolo J. "Sandy" Leonetti

Sandolo J. "Sandy" Leonetti, 85, of Strasburg died Friday, June 15, 2012 in the Hospice House at New Philadelphia.

Born March 24, 1927 in Bridgeport, Connecticut he was a son of the late Steven and Antoinetti Leonetti. Sandy was also preceded in death by his sister, three brothers and his son in law, John Springer.

He retired from Textron as a carpenter after many years of service.

Sandy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eleanor "Ellie" Bonaventura Leonetti whom he married on September 14, 1946; children, Diane Springer of Dover, Sandy (Laura) Leonetti and William (Faye) Leonetti all of Terryville, Connecticut; sister, Caroline Mazzabufi; brothers, Joseph (Joan) Leonetti and Steven (Connie) Leonetti both of Connecticut; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great grandchild due in November.

Per Sandy's wishes cremation will be entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover where a memorial service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Deacon Nicholas Droll officiating. Interment of the ashes will be held at a later date in the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
