Samuel R. Gibb

Samuel R. Gibb, 87, of Dover, Ohio died Monday, March 4, 2002 in Alliance following an extended illness.

He was a retired employee of Norton Mfg. Company at Mineral City.

Born September 27, 1914 in Sunderland, England, he was the son of the late Robert and Ann Rodda Gibb.

Sam was a member of the St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and former member of the American Legion Post in Mineral City.

He is survived by a sister, Margaret Jane Paulun of Alliance; two brothers, James Harry Gibb of Dover and Stanley Gibb of Alliance along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 am in the Dover Burial Park with Rev. Steven Daniels officiating. The Dover VFW will conduct military graveside rites. There are no public calling hours.
