Sadie L. Stalder

Sadie L. Stalder, age 89, of Dover, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, at Dover’s Country Club Retirement Campus.

Born January 12, 1932, in Harriman, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late George and James Bessie Lowe Scarbrough. Sadie graduated from Lake City (Tennessee) High School in 1951, and later, on January 31, 1969, married Howard E. Stalder. The couple had three daughters and shared 50 years of marriage prior to Howard’s passing on October 22, 2019. Sadie was a loving homemaker and volunteered at Union Hospital in Dover. She belonged to Chapter 222 of the Order of the Eastern Star in New Philadelphia for over 60 years. Additionally, she enjoyed archery and target shooting, and, in later years, coloring.

Sadie will be dearly missed by her daughters, Roberta “Bobbi” (Gary Mance) Ward of Streetsboro, Rebecca “Becky” (Mike) Gordon of Twinsburg, and Deborah “Debbie” (Larry Beckler) Gemma of Wooster; her grandchildren, Angie (Jeremy) Marzilli, Shawn (Penny) Garvin, John (Krystal) Tarulli, Frank Tarulli and Eric (Cheryl) Ward; her great-grandchildren, Riley Ward, Cohen Marzilli and Sydney Tarulli; and her many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, and her husband, Howard, Sadie was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rocco Gemma.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Saturday, April 24, 2 - 3 p.m. A service will follow at 3 officiated by Rev. Matt Doerle of Crossroads Hospice. Burial will be later, following cremation, in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover.
