Ruth L. Antonelli

Ruth L. Antonelli, 63, of 341 Front St SW, New Philadelphia, died Thursday, April 6, 2000 in Aultman Hospital.

Born April 27, 1936 at Barnhill, she was a daughter of the late Floyd H. & Mary Margaret Cox Foster.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church at New Philadelphia. Ruth was active in the Women of the Moose at New Philadelphia & Dover where she had served as graduate regent and secretary, she was past president and secretary of the Dover Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, and was also involved with the Dover Army Navy Club Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed coordinating fundraising events and banquets for each. Ruth was also an avid reader and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Alex Antonelli, whom she wed on June 16, 1973.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by an infant sister, sister Betty Jane Foster Jeandervin, and half-brother George L. Stroup.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, April 10, at 10:30am in Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia with Msr. George Schlegel officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at New Phila. Friends may call in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Sunday from 6-9pm. Eagles Auxiliary services will be held at 5:45pm, a Christian Wake will be held at 8:30pm and Women of the Moose services will be held at 8:45pm.
