Ruth Alice Fisher

Ruth Alice Fisher, age 100, of Mt. Vernon, and formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2023 in the Country Court Skilled Nursing Center at Mt. Vernon surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born on July 25, 1922 in Stone Creek, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Emma Mercer McKain. Ruth was also preceded in death by her first husband, John F. Thomas in 1945 and Paul Fisher in 1990; daughter, Paulette Fisher; sister, Ruby Brown; brother, Melvin McKain; and son in law, Robert Milner.

She was a member of the Blooming Grove Seventh Day Adventist Church in Galion Ohio.

Ruth is survived by children, Janice (Thomas) Milner Morckel, Stanley (Kathy) Thomas; grandchildren, Lori (Jeff)Milner Brown , Portia (Eric)Thomas Bradley, Stacy (Aaron)Thomas Marinelli, Kristen (Scott) Newman; great-grandchildren, Asia and Blake Brown, Garrett and Hunter Bradley; Grace, Alex, Bella and Luciano Marinelli; Eli, Kris, and Skyler Newman.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Private family services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blooming Grove Seventh Day Adventist Church at 9743 Co Rd 20, Galion, OH 44833.
