Robert P. Breitenstein

Robert P. "Bob" Breitenstein, age 69, of Dover, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, in Union Hospital Emergency Room following an apparent heart attack at home.

Born Mar. 18, 1943, at Dover, he was a son of the late Eugene and Bertha Breitenstein. Bob graduated from Dover High School in 1963, and was employed the past seventeen years by Baker's I.G.A. at Sugarcreek, where he was the produce manager. He was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God at New Philadelphia, and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Bob enjoyed following sports, and was a great fan of the Cleveland Indians.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Potts Breitenstein, whom he married on May 20, 1983; two daughters, Crystal (John) Young of New Philadelphia, and Misty Breitenstein at home; a step-son, Charles York of Uhrichsville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, and a brother.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover on Friday (today), Nov. 16, 5 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover. Following the committal, there will be a luncheon in the First Assembly of God.
