Robert F."Bob" Bleininger

Robert F. "Bob" Bleininger, 86, of Dover passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Community Hospice House.

Born on November 17, 1928 in Stone Creek, he was the son of the late Ervin R. and Bessie (Metzger) Bleininger. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Fox Bernard; brother, Raymond Bleininger; and his sister, Agnes Penrod.

After 38 years of service, he retired from Marsh Lumber Company.

Bob honorably served our country in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Dover Eagles and Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the VFW in Holiday, Florida. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending car shows with his children.
He will be sadly missed by his two sons; Michael (Debbie) Bleininger of New Philadelphia, Joe (Evon) Bleininger of Dover; daughter, Peggy (Brett) Miller of Dover; three sisters, Annamae Ribet of Freeport, PA, Donna Fox of Dover, Betty Kaser of New Philadelphia; four brothers, Lloyd Bleininger of Dover, Glen (Beth) Bleininger of Dover, Wayne Bleininger of Dundee, Richard Bleininger of Dover; along with 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by his companion, Mary Simmons and her family.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held on his birthday at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00am with Pastor Donald Rice Jr. officiating. Interment will take place at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens where the Dover VFW will conduct military honors. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 4-7pm.
