Robert E. Decker, Sr.

Robert E. "Bob" Decker, Sr., age 71, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, in Union Hospital, following a long illness.


Born Nov. 4, 1940, in Roswell, he was a son of the late Lillian Cusano Decker. Bob attended school in Roswell and was employed for thirty-four years by the Reeves Steel Co. before his retirement.



Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Katherine E. Zeigler Decker; two daughters, Pamela Lynn Decker of New Philadelphia, and Jody Marie Decker of Cameron, NC; three sons, Robert E. (Patti), John F., and Chris A. Decker, all of New Philadelphia; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six sisters; three brothers; many nieces and nephews.



In addition to his mother, Bob was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
