Rita B. Mcneil

Rita B. McNeil, 99, of Dover passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2019 in the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born on March 11, 1919 in Cleveland she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mary Fitzpatrick Busher. Rita was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry R. McNeil on July 23, 1992; sisters, Patricia Busher, Theresa Stone and a brother, Bill Busher.

Rita retired from Key Bank in Cleveland as a Clerk Supervisor. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe Seniors, taught CCD and RCIA classes and enjoyed working bingo games and visiting nursing home patients. In her spare time she loved sewing and making crafts.

Rita will be sadly missed by her children, Henry (Lynne) McNeil of Virginia, Timothy (Martha) McNeil of Mineral Ridge, Michael (Kathy) McNeil of Dover; brother, Walter (Kitty) Busher of Highland Heights; nephew, Fr. Dennis McNeil of Willoughby; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 19 at 10:00 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with her nephew, Fr. Dennis McNeil officiating. Interment will be in the All Souls Cemetery at Chardon. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Friday from 3-7 pm.
