Peggy E. Lewis

Peggy E. Lewis, 73, of Dover passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 with her family by her side.

She was born on March 24, 1947 in Dover and was a daughter of the late Sherwood and Madge Tomblin Barker. Peggy was also preceded in death by her husband, Gomer D. Lewis on October 28, 2000; brother, Carl Barker; sisters, Christine Dallas, Marie Levengood; and great grandson, Reid Carling.

Peggy was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed being outdoors, camping and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Gomer Lewis, Leanna Lewis both of Dover, Laurinda Malinak of Akron; brothers, Dan (Sue) Barker of Arizona, Jack Barker of Dover, Gerald Barker of Uhrichsville; sister, Connie (Ronnie) McDade of Dover; six grandchildren, Becky (John) Bargar, Debbie (William) Suddeth, Samantha (Scott) Callen, Jennifer (Jack) Carling, Thane and Hayley Lewis; 11 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Shai.

Private services will be held. The family will be greeting friends on Monday, February 8th in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover from 5-7 pm. Due to Covid-19 masks and social distancing will be required. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg.
