October 9, 1925 — November 26, 2015

Paul "Peck" Overman Rimer, 90, of Dover passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on October 9, 1925 in Dover, he was the son of the late Earl and Bessie (Swobe) Rimer. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Peck owned and operated Rimer's Hardware Store in Orrville, Ohio with his brother Earl. He also worked at General Telephone in the commercial department for 15 years. He was an inspector for all the railroads in the United States for 20 years until his retirement in 1985.

Peck was an avid golfer starting at the age of 18. He won many trophies at Green Valley Golf Course, having shot six holes- in-one over the years. He also held the scoring record of 61 for many years. When Paul wasn't working you would find him on the golf course with his friends.

He always had a keen sense of humor that brightened the day of all he encountered.

He will be sadly missed by the love of his life, Glenna Badger, whom he married on August 12, 1956. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Pam Watson and Rosemary Abel for the special care given to him as his health declined.

In honoring the Peck's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. There will be no visitation or service. To sign an online guestbook, visit the "Obituaries & Flowers" link on the funeral home's website.
