Paul Biedel Milner

Paul Biedel Milner, 83, of Dover, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, in Union Hospital, following a long illness.

Born Feb. 5, 1924, in Waterford, he was a son of the late George A. and Blanche Biedel Milner. Paul graduated from Waterford High School, and, on May 25, 1942, married the former Ruth E. King at Lowell. Paul served honorably in the U.S. Army�(TM)s Third Armored Division during the Second World War under Gen. George S. Patton. He was a crane operator, having retired from the Henry A. Selinsky Co., Canton. Paul had resided in Dover the past thirty-one years. He was a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather

He was a member of the First Christian Church, Dover; Operating Engineers Local 18 of Akron; member and Past Master of the Lowell Masonic Lodge; the Canton and Lowell American Legion posts; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3463 of Dover; the Dover Elks Lodge 975; and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth E. Milner; a son, Randy (wife, Betty) Milner of Springfield; a daughter, Sherrie (husband, Phil) Conley of Lake Milton; four grandchildren, Mike (wife, Winnie) and Brad (wife, Laura) Milner, and Alan and David (wife, Jodie) Conley; three great-grandchildren, Eric and Caroline Milner, and Caden Conley; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Neal Milner.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover, on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2:30 �" 4:30 p.m. Masonic services will close the calling hours at 4:30. At the family�(TM)s request, a private funeral service will be held with Pastors David Dahlstein and Kenard Parrott officiating. Burial will be in Watertown Cemetery, Sunday, Feb. 18, at 3 p.m. Military rites will be performed at the grave.
