Patricia Marie Avon

Patricia Marie Avon, 72, of New Philadelphia passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.

Born on June 9, 1943 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Glendean (Michaels) McRobie. On April 17, 1983, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Moore. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Gary Avon, on August 28, 2008.

Patricia graduated from Claymont High School and went on to beauty school.

She was employed at Lowe's and retired in 2010.

She enjoyed reading, working in her yard, and puzzles. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

She will be sadly missed by her children; James "Jim" (Tina) Moore of New Philadelphia, and Chris (Marci) Moore of Dover; step-son, Keith (Kim) Avon of Somerdale; four grandchildren, Zach and Kaylie Moore of New Philadelphia, and Ryan and Andrew Moore of Dover; several step-grandchildren; four brothers, Wayne McRobie of Port Washington, Roger McRobie of Dover, Terry (Sally) McRobie of New Philadelphia, Gary (Cathy) McRobie of New Philadelphia; her best friend, Joan Storrie of Midvale; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will take place at Dover Burial Park on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Earl Ankrom officiating. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover on Monday from 10:30-11:30. There will not be a service at the funeral home.
