Patricia J. Hickman

Patricia J. Hickman, 64, of Newcomerstown died Sunday, October 20, 2013 in the Coshocton Hospital.

Born January 25, 1949 in Ypsilanti, Michigan she was a daughter of Miriam "Tootsie" Hobbs Spragg of Ypsilanti and the late Clayton "Leonard" Spragg. Patricia was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Hickman Jr. on October 23, 2011.

Patricia was a well-known cook for the former Brooklyn Grill in Dover and had also worked at 31 Inc. in Newcomerstown for many years. She loved her family and spending time with the grandchildren. Patricia also enjoyed rooting for her beloved Cleveland Indians.

Patricia will be sadly missed by her children, Lisa (Charles) Wilson of Newcomerstown, Janet (Basil) Earley of Cambridge, Walter (Jenni) Hickman III of Pataskala, Kimberli Canales of Newcomerstown, Clayton Hickman of Coshocton and Laura (Brandon) Eckley of Alaska; brothers, Ron (Janet) Spragg, Don "Bub" Spragg and Curt Spragg all of Ypsilanti and Michael (Cathy) Spragg of Byesville; sister, Denise (Ron) Riddle of Newcomerstown; grandchildren, Chase, Chris, Basil, Lucas, Lyssa, Nicky and Gavin.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 25 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Patricia's son, Walter Hickman III officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Following the burial, a funeral luncheon will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 pm.
