Norene M. Kelker

Norene M. Kelker, 78, of Dover died Thursday, July 13, 2000 at Morning View Care Center following an extended illness.

She retired from the Housekeeping Department at Union Hospital after many years of service.

Born August 13, 1921 at Dover she was a daughter of the late Robert and Hattie Houston Walker.

She was a member of St. Marks AME Zion Methodist Church in Dover.

Norene was preceded in death by her husband Fred Kelker who died on July 9, 1977.

She is survived by two daughters: Doris Jean Pep of Dover
Phyllis Yvonne Lowery of Canton

Two sisters: Norma Walker of Cleveland
Freida Walker of Canton

Three brothers: Charles Walker of Chattanooga, TN.
Billy and Faye Walker of Dover
Nazarene and Dorothy Walker of Cleveland

Twelve Grandchildren: Kevin Mills Natalie Lowery
Renee Streeter Jeff Lowery
Bruce Lowery Arthur Smith
Frank Lowery Jr. Woodrow Washington
Adele Mills Wendell Washington
Chris Lowery Phyllis Washington

27 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by three sons, four brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2000 at 11:00 am in the First Baptist Church at Dover with Rev. Beverly Lewis officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Sunday from 7-9 pm.
