Noel Gordon

Noel Gordon, 85, of 3468 Roslyn Rd., Venice, Florida died Tuesday, March 14, 2000. He was born January 29, 1915 in Winfield, the son of Sarah Alta Auman and L. Marion Gordon. Noel moved from Dover to Venice twenty seven years ago. He was a World War II veteran who served in the Navy. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. and worked as an electrician for over fifty years out of Local #540 in Canton. Mr. Gordon was a member of the Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge in Dover, and the Tadmor Temple in Canton. He received his fifty year pin from the Masons. He is survived by Ethel Walter Gordon, his wife of sixty seven years, a son Dr. Lynn Gordon of Radford, Virginia, a daughter, Suzanne Halter of Lakewood, Ohio , a sister Lina Maust of Dover, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A son, Dr. Keith Gordon, and four sisters and three brothers precede him in death. Services will be held Saturday, March 18 at Toland-Herzig Funeral Home inDover. A Masonic service will be held at 10:45 a.m., with calling hours at 11:00 a.m., and funeral services at 12:00. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Winfield with military services conducted by the New Philadelphia VFW. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
