Maurine C. Frasier

Maurine C. Frasier, 81, a long-time resident of Dover, died Christmas Day, 2007, in Park Village Health Care Center.

Born May 26, 1926, in Sparta, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Ezra and Olivia Davis Cole. Maurine was a homemaker, and was also employed as a member of the housekeeping staff of the Tuscarawas County courthouse, from which she retired.

She attended the New Life Church of God in Dover, and was a member of the Ladies of the Moose, V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Elks, all of Dover. Maurine was a kind and giving person who enjoyed helping others. She loved her grandchildren and time spent with them.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Cal) Schwartz and Sue (Mark) Ball, both of New Philadelphia; two sons, Ronald Frasier of New Philadelphia, and Bruce (Donna) Frasier of Akron; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rachel (Sarge) Harvey and Georgie Mae Frasier, both of Sparta, and Ruth Nagy of Knoxville, Tennessee; a brother, Lloyd (Gene) Cole of Akron; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Maurine was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lee Frasier; a daughter, Ollievia Frasier West; two sisters; and eight brothers.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, on Thursday, Dec. 27, 6 - 8 p.m. A funeral service for Maurine will be held Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a meal in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
