Mary K. Bitikofer Malcuit

Mary K. Bitikofer Malcuit, age 85, of Strasburg, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in Park Village at Dover.

Born January 29, 1931, at Shreve, she was a daughter of the late Clete and Kathryn Mosher Hensel. Mary moved with her family at a young age to Strasburg where she graduated high school. She was a homemaker, and was employed by Strasburg Provision.

Mary belonged to Strasburg's First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Strasburg Fire Department Women's Auxiliary, and the Strasburg American Legion Auxiliary. Some of her favorite pastimes included camping, fishing, crocheting and bingo.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Larry) Mizer of Bolivar, and Karen (Dennis) Roudebush of Elmwood, Illinois; her son, John (Brenda) Bitikoker of Strasburg; her eleven grandchildren; her nineteen great-grandchildren; her sisters, Wanda (David) Wells of Columbus, Virginia (Richard) Deuker of Loris, South Carolina, Carol (Kenny) Murphy of Dover, and Diane (Jim) Harper of Strasburg; her brothers, Gene (Vina), Bill (Beulah) and Bob (Rita) Hensel, all of Strasburg; her daughter-in-law, Lynn (Glen) Fisher of Strasburg; and her many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Bitikofer; her second husband, Roland Malcuit; her son, Ronald Bitikofer; and her sisters, Betty Flatley and Mildred Davis.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Sunday, October 30, 4 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 31, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home, with Chris Mulpas, minister of the First Christian Church, Dover, officiating.
