Mary Hayward

Mary Kathryn “Kay” Hayward, 93, of 3595 Reichman Dr. N.W., Dover, Ohio died Christmas Day, 2005 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.

She was a beautician for twenty years and was an employee of the former Schwartz Kline�(TM)s Store in New Philadelphia. She was also a former employee of the Montgomery Wards Store in Dover.

Born January 31, 1912 in Newcomerstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Milan and Maude Marshall Meyer.

Kay was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Dover. She enjoyed quilting and needlepoint.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Hayward who died March 30, 1987. She was also preceded by a son in law, Howard “Dick” Reichman, a brother, George Meyer, and a sister, Betty Hellgren.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Reichman of Dover and Susan (Ed) Smith of Canton; a son, Tom Hayward of Dover; nine grandchildren Deb Clinton, Susan Everhart, Lauri Mamarella, Kim Chek, Kelly Fishley, Julie Thompson, Bill Smith, Jennifer Hayward, and Amy Hayward along with twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday Dec. 30, 2005 at 2pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover with Dr. William C. Haggis officiating. Entombment will be in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum at Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6-8 pm and Friday from 1-2pm.
