Mary Evelyn Wherley Hagloch

July 17, 1917 — March 14, 2005

Mary Evelyn Wherley Hagloch, 88, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2005 following a period of declining health.

A devoted daughter, wife and mother, she will be missed by her husband of nearly 70 years, Henry; sons, Gregor (Gloria), Grant and Joseph (Susan); grandchildren, Michael, Kathy, Judy, Charles, Thomas and many great grandchildren.

She was a true believer and long-time church-goer.

Mary was born on July 17, 1916, to Joseph Wherley and Caroline Hodel Wherley. Caroline died in the flu epidemic of 1920.

As a youth, she divided her time between Massillon during the school year and the Stone Creek area at her ancestral family farm during the summers.

She and Henry raised their family first in Canton until 1954 and then in Dover to the present.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at 2:30 pm at the Dover Burial Park with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. There are no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover is handling arrangements.
