Mary E. Shonk

Mary E. Shonk, 95, of Oakland, Tennessee, and formerly of Dover died Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee.



Born April 25, 1921 in Elm Grove, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late Overton and Vada Ellison Hatcher. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Shonk on February 6, 1992; son in law, Ward Myers; four sisters and four brothers.



She was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church.



Mary is survived by her daughter, Patricia Myers of Oakland, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Tim (Leigh) Myers of Memphis, Tennessee, Pam Kail of Arlington, Tennessee, Michael Myers of Osage, Iowa; five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 16 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Dr. William C. Haggis officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
