Mary Alice Kline

Mary Alice Kline, 88, of Dover passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights following a sudden illness.

Born on October 9, 1925 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Louis Anthony and Josephine Leone. Mary Alice attended Dover High School. On August 3, 1946 she married Robert Kline Sr, who preceded her in death on October 24, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her daughter; Martha Carey, and her brothers in law; Jack Marks and Jim Zifer.

In 1979, she and Robert opened and operated what was then called Kline's Drive Thru in Dover. Mary Alice was an avid reader and a book was never far from her hands. She enjoyed golfing, doing jigsaw puzzles, and crossword puzzles. She was most happy when she was spending time with family and close friends.

She will be sadly missed by her son; Robert Jr. (Tracy) Kline of Mayfield Village; four grandchildren, Emma and Anthony Kline of Mayfield Village, Nicole (Judah) Carey Smith of Patterson, NY, Lisa (Derrick) Carey Bray of Cleveland Heights; a great granddaughter, Josephine "Josie" Bray of Cleveland Heights; her brother, Mike (Jean) Leone of Dover; sisters, Nancy (Garland) Wallick of New Philadelphia, Dolores Marks of Dover; along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mary Alice's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 11:00 am with Greg Clay officiating. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 am-11:00 am.
