Marjorie K. Kennedy

Marjorie K. “Marge” Kennedy, 83, of 407 E. 17th St., Dover, Ohio died Saturday, November 25, 2006 in the Park Village Health Care Center following an extended illness.

Marge retired as office manager of the former Soehnlen Piping Company in Dover. She had also previously worked for Dover Molded Products.

Born March 14, 1923 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Edna Lallathin Rufener.

She was a member of St. Joseph�(TM)s Catholic Church at Dover where she served on the Bereavement Committee and member of the former Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, Dover American Legion Auxiliary, and Dover Lady Elks. She was a 1942 graduate of Dover High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Kennedy who died February 22, 1989 along with a son, Michael J. Kennedy and a grandson, John Preston Peters.

Marge is survived by three daughters, Kathy (James A.) Peters of Sarasota, Florida, Jeannine Kennedy of Dover and Therese (Greg) Gardner of Dover and one son, Sean Kennedy of Guernsey. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a sister in law, Patricia Kennedy of Dover.

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 10:30am in the St. Joseph�(TM)s Catholic Church in Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Cremation will follow the mass and interment will be held at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery in Dover. There are no calling hours.
