Marie (Reichel) Kutz

Marie Elizabeth (Reichel) Kutz, 83, formerly of E. 5th Street in Dover died peacefully from advanced Parkinson's Disease on April 15, 2014 at the House of Loreto in Canton where she has been a resident for the past eleven years.

Born in Massillon, Ohio on July 25, 1930, daughter of the late Harold and Martha (Geckler) Reichel and was a 1948 graduate of Massillon Washington High School.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover where she taught CCD, supporter of Dover High School Band and sports, and Union Hospital volunteer.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Stanley J. Kutz, Jr. Marie wanted to be known for the love of her children and grandchildren; Stanley J. Kutz III of Temple Terrace, Fla., Kevin Kutz of Canton, OH, Kimberly (Roger) Sowinski, Independence, OH, Kyle Scott Kutz (Christina), North Olmsted, OH, Connie (Dr. Tony) Pentz, Canton, OH, Kelly Kutz, Dover, OH, Kaymarie (Todd) Devorace, Rocky River, OH. Grandchildren; Anthony, Jonathan and Kyle Pentz, Samantha and Alexandra Sowinski; Lauren, Christian, Braden and Taylor Devorace; and Camille Kutz. Sister, Charlene (Cy) Sirgo, Massillon, OH, and brother in law, Norm (Ellen) Kutz, North Canton, OH., and several nieces and nephews.

The Kutz family would like to express their gratitude to the nuns, staff, and volunteers at the House of Loreto for their kind and compassionate care while Marie was a resident there.

Fr. Jimmy Hatfield will officiate a Celebration of Life Mass at St. Joseph Church, 613 N. Tuscarawas Ave., Dover, OH on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Dover.
