Marie Gano

Marie Gano, 88 of Dover passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at her home.

Born on January 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William and Goldie Rummel Espenschied . On January 25, 1941, she married Forrest L. Gano, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1990.

Marie will be sadly missed by her children; John (wife, Carol) Gano of New Philadelphia, Margaret Haney of Uhrichsville, Mary Fox of New Albany, Carol (husband, Jan) Quillin of Stone Creek, Florence (husband, Daniel M.) Miller of Ragersville; brothers, Raymond (wife, Pat) Espenschied, Robert (wife, Monya) Espenschied, Butch (wife, Patsy) Espenschied; sisters, Elsie Kutcher, Doris Rowland, Maxine Robinson, Helen Stewart, Wanda (husband, Ed) Dill; along with 20 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie is preceded in death by her son; Forrest R. Gano; grandson, Robert A. Gano; brother, Earl Espenschied, and sisters, Verna Mae Smith and Betty Dorsey.

A celebration of Marie's life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in New Philadelphia on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 11:00 am with Pastor Donald Snow officiating. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the church. Friends are invited to call at the church on Wednesday, from 10:00 -11:00 am. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover are handling the arrangements.
