Marian D. Lewis

Marian D. Lewis, 102, of Dover, Ohio died Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Country Club Retirement Center.

Marian was born December 21, 1905 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, the daughter of the late Fred A. and Emma Louise Kuhn Strine.

She was a schoolteacher having taught at New Philadelphia and Alliance schools.

She was a life member of the First United Church of Christ in New Philadelphia and the Order of Eastern Star in New Phila. She was a former member of the University Women and was a graduate of Oberlin College.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Brinley R. Lewis who died October 20, 1989.

Dr. William C. Haggis will officiate graveside services on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 1pm in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Dover. There are no calling hours.
