Margaret L. Spevak

Margaret L. Spevak, 93 of Dover died Monday, August 16, 1999 at Country Club Retirement Center following a brief illness.  

She was a retired First Grade Teacher having taught for the Dover, Winfield and Midvale School Systems.

Born April 9, 1906 in New Cumberland she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Alice Cramer Rees.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dover, the Ladies Circle and was also a member of the Tuscarawas County Retired Teachers Association.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Andrew G. Spevak who died on February 6, 1958.

She is survived by her daughter Margaret and John Bell of West Islip, Ny.

Daughter in law:  Susan Spevak of Mayfield Heights, Oh.

Four grandchildren:  Chris and Peter Bell
                                   Andrew 'Drew' and Matthew Spevak

Great grandson:  Logan Spevak.

Two brothers:  Raymond and Kay Rees
                         Donovan and Ethel Rees both of  New Philadelphia.

Sister:  Gertrude Thornton of Berea, Oh.

She was also preceded in death by a son:  Andrew Spevak Jr.

Grandson:  Robert Spevak

Five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 19, 1999 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. James Scott officiating.  Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park.  Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Dover.
